The printed deconstructed edges of textile fragments add a mysterious quality to the LAYERS OF COURAGE SCARF. As I was gathering shibori-dyed silks for a lariat, I photographed textile fragments on my cutting table, capturing the understated beauty of the undulating patterns and juxtaposition of colors. The scarf exudes the casual quality of everyday street wear, yet printed on silk chiffon it takes on an elegant quality that is timeless and seasonless.
